<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 -170 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SER VICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF A MAXIMUM OF <br />35,000 GALLONS OF SODIUM ALUMINATE FOR A TWELVE-MONTH <br />PERIOD, FOR USE BY THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT FOR <br />PHOSPHATE REMOVAL, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />CONTRACT FOR SAME, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to competitively bid for the purchase of sodium aluminate for <br />the removal of phosphate at the Wastewater Treatment Plant; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE Cl7'Y OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for maximum of 35,000 gallons of sodium aluminate for a twelve-month <br />period, for use by the Wastewater Treatment Plant, in accordance with specifications now on file <br />in his office and that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to <br />enter into a Contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately because the <br />current contract expires January 29, 2005; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />C, <br />PASSED: `_)k3,C, L-" - A_ 6-2- L- j C ti t ?
