<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004-168 <br />BY: THE MAYOR AND THE ENTIRE CITY COUNCIL <br />A RESOLUTION COMIVIENDING THE ACHIEVEMENT BY <br />PAUL THOMAS KAMIS MOIZUK <br />OF THE EAGLE SCOUT AWARD IN BOY SCOUTING <br />WHEREAS, this Council and Administration recognize and reaffirm their dedication to organized Scouting; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council and the Administration further recognize that those participating in Scouting, both the <br />youth and their leaders, are an invaluable asset to the community and the Nation, and that the ideals of Scouting, the Scout <br />Oath and the Scout Law are commitments that all citizens should strive for; and <br />WHEREAS, when one of our young citizens has been committed to Scouting to such an extent that he earns the <br />rank of Eagle Scout, it is truly a noteworthy accomplishment; and <br />WHEREAS, PAUL THOMAS KAMIS MOIZi1K began his Scouting career when he was a first-grader by <br />joining Cub Scout Pack 332 at St. Richard's School as a Tiger Cub; he earned the Arrow of Light Award, which is the <br />highest award in Cub Scouting, and the religious award, Parvuli Dei; and <br />WHEREAS, PAUL at age 12 became a member of Boy Scout Troop 332 where he served in the leadership <br />positions of Troop Guide, Scribe, Web Master, Den Chief and Quartermaster, and he was elected by his peers to Order of <br />the Arrows, which is the Boy Scouts National Honor Society; and <br />WHEREAS, throughout his Scouting career, PAUL has been an active participant of Troop 332 and has attended <br />monthly campouts, summer camp at Seven Ranges for five years and earned his Fifth Year Pipestone Award (Camp <br />Honors), and he is cunently working on his Boy Scout religious award Pope Pius XXII; and <br />WHEREAS, PAUL, in achieving his Eagle Scout Award earned twenty-seven Merit Badges; and <br />WHEREAS, PALTL'S Eagle Scout Project consisted of constructing fishing tackle trash receptacles for use <br />throughout the Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River Reservation; he and his fellow Scouts and their parents spent nearly <br />100 man-hours completing the project, and Paul solicited and obtained donations by local businesses and held a Hot Dog <br />Sale fund-raiser to fund the majority of the project which was completed in June, 2004; and <br />WHEREAS, PAUL is a Sophomore at St. Edward's High School, where he earned Honor Roll status as a <br />Freshman, and he plans to attend college where he will study either Nursing or Science Education; and <br />WHEREAS, the reception of the Eagle Scout Award by PAUL THOMAS KAMIS MOIZUK is a noteworthy <br />accomplishment deserving of the congratulations of the entire community. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAFIOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council and City Administration extend best wishes and heartiest congratulations to <br />PAUL THOMAS KAMIS MOIZUK on his achievement of the rank of Eagle Scout. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council be, and she is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to <br />PAUL THOMAS KAMIS MOIZUK. <br />Passed: <br />;i <br />arbara L.
