<br />Ordinance No. 2004-165 <br />*Each rate step is 2,080 part-time hours. Part-time hourly Bus Operators and <br />Hostlers who are subsequently hired full-time will remain in the rate step schedule they are <br />in as a full-time employee. However, no credit with part-time hours will be applied <br />towards their full-time employment wage progression within that rate step. <br />Each part-time hourly employee, who was employed on August 1, 2003, sha11 <br />receive a one-time lump sum wage increase of $450.00. Said increase shall not become <br />a part of the employee's base hourly rate. <br />A retired employee of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line who had <br />at least five (5) years of full-time service and is re-employed as part-time within twenty- <br />four (24) months of his/her retirement date shall be hired at Rate Step Four (4) of this <br />ordinance. <br />During training period, part-time Bus Operators and Hostlers shall be paid the <br />Step 1 rate. <br />**Extra Labor, includes summer and temporary help students, other temporary <br />employees and custodial helpers. The hourly rate sha11 be in the range as given. <br />SECTION 2: That effective February l, 2002 and thereafter, part-time hourly <br />employees shall receive a uniform allowance as follows. <br />A. Bus Operator - The sum of $210.00 paid upon completion of the training <br />programs. <br />B. To be eligible to receive an annual clothing allowance of $210.00, a minimum <br />of 250 hours must be completed in the previous year, for Bus Operators. <br />C. Hostler - A maximum of three (3) sets of laundered work clothing each week. <br />- An annual payment of $65 for boot allowance. <br />SECTION 3: That there is a seniority system, by classification, for part-time <br />hourly Bus Operators and Hostlers, wheieas seniority begins after completion of the <br />prescribed training program. <br />SECTION 4: That all ordinances, and parts of ordinances, inconsistent or in <br />conflict with this Ordinance, sha11, to the extent of such inconsistency or conflict, be and <br />hereby are repealed. <br />SECTION 5: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and fbr <br />the further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in <br />order to make required retroactive payments prior to the end of this fiscal year, and <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of a11 members of Council, it <br />sha11 take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />?
