<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 -160 <br />BY: The Mayor and Entire City Council <br />A RESOL UTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT WITH THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY GENERAL HEALTH <br />DISTRICT FOR THE YEAR 2005, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted, under O.R.C. Section 3709.08, is a member of <br />the General Health District of Cuyahoga County; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted must enter into a contract for the year 2005 for <br />health services to be performed by the Cuyahoga County Health District; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COIINTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into a contract, a <br />copy of which is attached hereto and marked as Exhibit "A," with the Cuyahoga County General <br />Health District to provide health services to the City of North Olmsted from January 1, 2005 to <br />December 31, 2005. <br />SECTION 2: That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Director of <br />Finance for authority to pay semi-annual payments under the provisions of this Resolution and <br />said contract. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that the current contract expires on December 31, 2004, and the new contract must <br />be in effect by that date to insure continuation of delivery of vital health services to the residents <br />of North Olmsted, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />? <br />PASSED: <br />First Reading: __ ? ? ? t 1 o`F <br />Second Reading: (D <br />Third Reading? _ 11 Committee: <br />ATT <br />f_. <br />RBARA L.
