CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2004 -146 BY: Mayor Musial and the Entire City Council AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO REQUEST PROPOSALS FROM PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECTS FOR DESIGN SERYICES FOR THE CITY HALL REVAMPMENT PROJECT, TO INCLUDE THE CITY HALL ENTRANCE, LOBBY, AND ADA PARKING AND ACCESSIBILITY ROUTE, FURTHER AUTHOItIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE ARCHITECTIIRAL FIRM SELECTED IN THE RFP PROCESS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared a request for proposals from professional architects for design services for the City Ha11 Revampment Project, to include the City Hall front entrance, the City Hall lobby, and the ADA parking and accessibility route, in order to improve access to the City Ha11 Administration Building for the physically disabled; and N'HEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to request proposals for said professional services in accordance with the request for proposals materials prepared by the City Engineer; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he hereby is authorized to request proposals ("RFP") from professional architects for conceptual design services, in accordance with the Request for Proposals (attached hereto as Exhibit A), for the City Hall Revampment Project, to include a redesign of the City Ha11 frorrt entrance, the City Hall lobby, and the ADA parking and accessibility route, in order to improve access to the City Hall Administration Building for the physically disabled. SECTIDN 2: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized, upon approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the architectural firm selected in the RFP
