ARTICLE 72: <br />PROBATIONARY PERIOD <br />SECTION 1: New empfoyees shall be considered to be on probation for a period of one <br />year. During the probationary period, discipline, discharge or suspension by the City <br />shall not be subject to the grievance procedure. <br />SECTI4N 2: If any empioyee is discharged or quits during the probationary period <br />described in Secfion 1 and is later rehired, he shall be considered as a new employee <br />and subject to the provisions of Section 1. <br />SECTION 3: All newly hired employees shall be required to sign a probationary period <br />notification form. Form wiil be as foltows: <br />PROBATIONARY PERIOD NOTIFICATION ACKNOWLEDGEMENT <br />have been advised that the <br />(name of employee) <br />Probationary Period of employees within the classification of <br />Central Emergency Dispatcher is for a period of twelve (12) <br />months, and that during this PROBATIONARY PERIOD, I have no <br />rights to disciplinary procedures and/or representation under <br />the OPBA LABOR CONTRACT.
