After 36 months $9 7.38 $36,150 <br />After 48 months $19.12 $39, 770 <br />SECTt4N 4: An employee shall receive step increases on their anniversary date of <br />hire in accordance with the iength of service provided in Sections 1, 2, and 3 above. <br />SECTION 5: The Employer shall compute overtime separately from straight time and <br />shalf show overtime and straight time separately on the emptoyees pay stub. <br />Additionally, the Empioyer shall compute and show on the employees pay stub his <br />accrued sick leave. Paychecks will normally be available on Friday at noon for <br />employees not schedu(ed to work Friday or have completed their work at that time, and <br />at the end of the day shift for other employees. Paychecks for employees ending their <br />scheduled week at 8:30 a.m. on Friday will be available at 8:30 a.m. on that Friday. <br />In the event of a shortage of an employee paycheck, that exceeds $25.00, such <br />shortage shall be paid within forty-eight (48) hours after notification of shortage is made <br />to the supervisor. <br />Article 32: <br />Communicable Diseases <br />SECTION 1: The parties hereto agree that the duties of the employees of the <br />Emergency Central Dispatch are such that said employees are exposed to disease as a <br />result of their assigned duties. If is the intention of the parties to provide to said <br />employees, salary continuation benefits when an empioyee contracts an illness as <br />herein after specified. <br />In the event that a full-time employee of the bargaining unit should become ill <br />due to contact with AIDS, HIV, Hepatitis, Tuberculosis or Meningitis and such illness <br />has so incapacitated the employee that he/she temporarily is unable to work, the Police <br />Chief shall investigate and determine whether fhe illness is work related and of a <br />temporary nature. The Police Chief shall then forward his finding to the Safety Director <br />who shall determine fihe nature and extent of the illness and how contracted, including <br />circumstances thereof. If after consideration of the totality of the facts the Safety <br />Director determines that said disease was contracted during empioyment and is of a <br />temporary nature requiring medical leave, the Safety Director shall authorize the full <br />payment of the employees' regular salary for a period of ninety (90) days. <br />If after ninety (90) days an illness stil( temporarily incapacitates the employee, <br />the Safety Director shall recommend to Council whether to continus salary. Council <br />shall forthwith review the matter and by a majority vote determine whether the <br />employee shall continue to receive full salary during recuperation. <br />29
