? i <br />36.2 An agenda will be furnished upon request of either party at least five (5) woricing days in advance <br />of the scheduled meetings with a list of the matters to be taken up in the meeting, and the names of <br />those Association representatives and management representatives who will be attending. <br />36.3 It is further agreed that if special Labor/Management meetings have been requested, and mutuaily <br />agreed upon, they shall be convened as soon as feasibte. <br />ARTICLE XXXVII <br />SAFE MINIMUM STAFFING <br />The City and Union shall establish a Fire Department Safe Minimum Staffing committee to develop an <br />implementation plan on how to raise the daily rninimum safe staffing levels of line personnel and will <br />attempt ta imptement such ptan as soon as possibie. The Fire Department Safe Minimum Staffing <br />committee shall consist of seven (7) members, 3 representatives of IAFF Local 1267, the Fire Chief, <br />Assistant Fire Chief, Finance Director and Safety Director. The Law Director shall act as legal advisor <br />only. Two (2) members of City Council of which preferably one (1) shall be from the City Council Safety <br />Committee and one (1) from the Finance Committee shall be invited to participate in said committee as <br />advisors also. The committee sha(I begin meeting within sixty (60) days fottowing the signing of the <br />collective ba.rgaining agreement and meet monthly there after until completion. <br />ARTICLE XXXVIII <br />DURATION OF AGREEMENT <br />38.1 This Ageement shall be effective as of January l, 2004 and shall remain in full force and effect <br />untii December 31, 2006, and it shali automatically be renewed from year to year thereafter, unless <br />either party shall have notified the other in writing in accordance with Articie XXXI. <br />38.2 For the duration of the Agreement, all wages, benefits and working conditions shall stay in effect <br />as presently covered under this Agreement unless changed in accordance with Article XXXI. <br />52
