CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 -122 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTIONAUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SAFETY TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR CLEANING SERVICES <br />AT THE RECREATION CENTER AND FOR RESTROOMS ONLYAT <br />NORTH OLMSTED PARK AND BARTONBRADLEY PARK, <br />FURTHER AUTHORI2ING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT FOR SAID CLEANING SERVICES WITH THE <br />LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER, SUBJECT TO APPROVAL BY THE <br />BOARD OF CONTROL, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />N'HEREAS, bid specifications for cleaning services at the Recreation Center and <br />for restrooms only at the North Olmsted Park and BartonBradley Park are on file in the <br />ofFice of the Director of Public Safety; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public <br />Safety to advertise for bids, and, to further authorize a.nd direct the Mayor, upon approval <br />of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract for said cleaning services with the lowest <br />and best bidder; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Safety be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for cleaning services at the Recreation Center and for restrooms only at <br />the North Olmsted Park and Barton/Bradley Park in accordance with the specifications <br />now on file in his office and that further, upon approval by the Board of Control, <br />the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder for <br />said cleaning services. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare and for the further reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect <br />immediately in order to avoid a gap in the existing cleaning contract, and, further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
