ft, <br />5-??j ,Q/07 <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 -101 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTION AiITHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR A VINYL FENCE TD BE INSTALLED ON <br />PROPERTY OF THE NEW LIBRARY ADJACENT TO CITY HALL AND NOMBL <br />BiIlLDINGS AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, AFTER BOARD OF <br />CONTROL APPROVAL, TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH THE LOWEST AND <br />BEST BIDDER <br />WHEREAS, due to the loca.tion of the new North Olmsted Library, given its proximity to the <br />NOMBL bus garage, the Director of Public Service recommends a six (6') foot vinyl fence installed on <br />the property to safeguard patrons of the library; and <br />WHERF9.S; it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to advertise <br />for bids for a six (6) foot vinyl fence installed on property between the new North Olmsted Library and <br />the NOMBL buildings with money from the Library Construction Fund and authorize the Mayor, <br />following approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for <br />bids for a six (6') foot vinyl fence to be installed on property between the new North Olmsted Library and <br />the NOMBL buildings, all of which sha11 be in accordance with specifications now on file in his office, <br />and that upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract <br />and execute the same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That the funds necessary for the aforesaid fence, estimated in excess of Twenty- <br />Five Thousand ($25,000.00) Dollars be appropriated and paid from the Library Construction Fund. <br />SECTION 3: T'hat this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately <br />necessary for the preservation of the public health, safeiy and welfare and for the further reason that it is <br />necessary that tlus Resolution go into effect immediately to prevent accidents which may occur, given the <br />proaumity of vehicular and pedestrian traffic, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members of Council, it shall take efFect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />? <br />PASSED: <br />? <br />First Reading: l d <br />Second Reading: .? 7 p <br />Third Reading: <br />Committee: <br />-? <br />(
