CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2004 -10 BY: Mayor Musial AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO A NEW PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH JERRY LUDYIK, THE GOLF PRO AT THE SPRINGYALE GOLF COURSE, RETROACTIVELY, FOR THE PERIOD APRIL 1, 2003 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2003, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, on or about November 26, 1999, the City of North Olmsted originally entered into an Agreement with Jerry Ludvik to be the Golf Pro at the City's Springvale Golf Course; and, WHEREAS, the initial term of said Agreement was from April 1, 1999 to December l, 1999; and WHEREAS, said Agreement was renewed for the April 1 through December 31, period for the years 2000, 2001 and 2002 pursuant to Ordinance Nos. 2000-162, 2001-45 and 2002-68, respectively; and WHEREAS, Jerry Ludvik served as Golf Pro at the City's Springvale Golf Course during the period April l, 2003, to December 31, 2003, but, through oversight on the City's part, Council authorization was not sought to renew Mr. Ludvik's contract for this period of time while he continued to provide his services to the City; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Safety that this Council authorize a contract retroactively with Jerry Ludvik for the period April 1, 2003, through December 31, 2003, providing for compensation to Mr. Ludvik in the same amount as he was paid in the last contract renewal period authorized by this Council; and WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize a new professional services contract for Jerry Ludvik for the period April 1, 2003 through December 31, 200, providing for such retroactive compensation to Mr. Ludvik so that he may be fairly compensated for services already provided to the City in the year 2003; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO:
