CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2004 -15 BY: Mayor Musial A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH LAKE BUSINESS PRODIICTS TO PURCHASE A COPY MACHINE/SERVICE AGREEMENT FOR THE CONGREGATE MEAL PROGRAM OPERATED BY THE NORTH OLMSTED DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES, DIVISION OF AGING, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the City has previously entered into intergovernmental agreements to operate the Congregate Meal Program and the Department of Human Resources, Division of Aging continues to provide such services in 2004, with the benefit of Title III C. grant funding, at the multiservice Senior Center; and WHEREAS, in addition to said grant monies awarded to the City, the regulations of the Ohio Department of Aging, specifically the Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging (V;RAAA), provide that donations received by the Congregate Meal Program operate as program income, which may either be set aside for expenditure on such equipment purchases or returned to WRAAA; and WHEREAS, the Director of Human Resources has compared the prices of four (4) vendors for copy equipment/service agreements and recommends this agreement as offering improved printing of agency documents, newsletter, with additional features for fax and direct copy functions which integrate with Department computers, and will replace the current leased equipment; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor, subject to approval by the Board of Control, to enter into an agreement with Lake Business Machines to purchase and service copy equipment for the Congregate Mea1 Program; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That, upon approval of the Board of Control, if necessary, the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with Lake Business Machines, Inc., to purchase and then provide service for copy equipment, as specified by and in substantially the same tertns as set forth in "Exhibit A". Said agreement sha11 be in the form of the Agreement attached to this Resolution as "Exhibit A," with only such changes therein as are not substantially adverse to the City and which are approved by both the Mayor and the Director of Law. The character of any such changes as not being substantially adverse to the City sha11 be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the agreement by the Mayor and the approval of the agreement by the Director of Law.
