cffY oF xoRTH oLMSTEn <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 - 30 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLiITION APPROVING OF AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF <br />POLICE/OHIO LABOR COUNCIL FOR THE OFFICERS AND <br />PATROLMEN OF THE NORTH OLMSTED POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT, FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY 1, 2004 <br />THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2006 AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of Ohio has heretofore adopted legislation <br />calling for collective bargaining agreements with public employees; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fraternal Order of Police/Ohio Labor Council has been recognized as <br />the exclusive bargaining agent for the Officers and Patrolmen of the North Olmsted polic;e <br />department; and <br />WHEREAS, the Administration has bargained with the members of said bargaining <br />units and has concluded that bargaining with an agreement that is satisfactory to the <br />Administration; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to approve of and authorize the Mayor to <br />enter into a collective bargaining agreernent with the Fraternal Order of Police/Ohio Labor <br />Council on behalf of the officers and patrolmen of the North Olmsted police department, for <br />the period 7anuary 1, 2004 through December 31, 2006; <br />1VOW, THEREFORE, BE tT RESOLYED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the collective bargaining agreement negotiated by and between the <br />Administration and the Fraternal Order of Police/Ohio Labor Cauncil, on behalf of the officers <br />and patrolmen of the North Olmsted police department, a copy of which is attached to this <br />legislation as "Exlubit A," is approved and the Mayor is authorized to execute the said <br />Agreement. <br />SECTION 2: That the effective date of any and all wage and firinge benefits provided <br />for in the said agreement, unless otherwise expressly specified therein, sha11 be January 1, <br />2004.
