cffY oF xoRTH oLMSTEn RESOLUTION NO. 2004 - 30 BY: Mayor Musial A RESOLiITION APPROVING OF AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WITH THE FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE/OHIO LABOR COUNCIL FOR THE OFFICERS AND PATROLMEN OF THE NORTH OLMSTED POLICE DEPARTMENT, FOR THE PERIOD JANUARY 1, 2004 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2006 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of Ohio has heretofore adopted legislation calling for collective bargaining agreements with public employees; and WHEREAS, the Fraternal Order of Police/Ohio Labor Council has been recognized as the exclusive bargaining agent for the Officers and Patrolmen of the North Olmsted polic;e department; and WHEREAS, the Administration has bargained with the members of said bargaining units and has concluded that bargaining with an agreement that is satisfactory to the Administration; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to approve of and authorize the Mayor to enter into a collective bargaining agreernent with the Fraternal Order of Police/Ohio Labor Council on behalf of the officers and patrolmen of the North Olmsted police department, for the period 7anuary 1, 2004 through December 31, 2006; 1VOW, THEREFORE, BE tT RESOLYED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the collective bargaining agreement negotiated by and between the Administration and the Fraternal Order of Police/Ohio Labor Cauncil, on behalf of the officers and patrolmen of the North Olmsted police department, a copy of which is attached to this legislation as "Exlubit A," is approved and the Mayor is authorized to execute the said Agreement. SECTION 2: That the effective date of any and all wage and firinge benefits provided for in the said agreement, unless otherwise expressly specified therein, sha11 be January 1, 2004.
