B) The employer may have the option of requiring the employee to take one week of his <br />vacation in increments of not less than 5 consecutive days. The remaining vacation time can be <br />taken as needed by the employee, for example, one or two days at a time. An employee will give <br />the supervisor at least forty-eight (48) hours advance notice in writing. In an emergency <br />situation, verbal communication with the supervisor is appropriate and may justify waiving <br />advance notification. <br />15
