CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 - 37 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF <br />PUBLIC SERVICE TO REQUEST PROPOSALS FOR ART <br />COORDINATION AND PROCUREMENT SERVICES FOR <br />THE NORTH OLMSTED LIBRARY BUILDING; FURTHER, <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR ?'O ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE PROPOSER SELECTED IN THE <br />RFP PROCESS AND APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />CONTROL; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />N'HEREAS, this Council adopted Ordinance No. 2003-15 on February 19, 2003, <br />providing for the expenditure of funds in relation to the construction of and furnishings for <br />the new North Olmsted Library building; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public <br />Service to request proposals from consultants to coordinate and procure services for <br />artwork to be installed at the North Olmsted Library and further to authorize the Mayor to <br />enter into an agreement with the Vendor selected in the RFP process and approved by the <br />Board of Control; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he hereby is autharized to <br />request proposals from consultants to coordinate and procure artwork for installation at <br />the new North Olmsted Library building in accordance with the Request for Proposals For <br />the North Olmsted New Branch Library Art Coordination and Services (January, 2004), <br />attached to this Ordinance as Exhibit A. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized, upon approval of the <br />Board of Control, to enter into an Agreement with the consultant selected in the RFP <br />(Request for Proposal) process. That such Agreement be in substantially the same <br />standard form of Agreement as approved by the Director of Law, with only such changes <br />to be hereinafter made as are not substantially adverse to the City and which are approved <br />by the Director of Law. The character of any such changes as not being substantially <br />adverse to the City sha11 be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the Agreement by <br />the Mayor and the approval of the Agreement by the Director of Law.
