.es..Ea."?v3?i[+e. naxri+' w+} .? -s ,. .. . yn J <br />.. «raw - ._ .?..: . ? . _ ..,.._v4.t .s.. m:?^u' .x»?4#,cav.si.......-. ...z ,..? .... . _.: ... . ?.. ..._ <br />..? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 - 44 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTIONACCEPTING A DONATION OF FIELD RECONDITIONIIVG <br />SERVICES FROMBRAD FRIEDEL IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THE <br />CONDITI4IV OF THE BARTON-BRADLEYSOCCER FIELDS, AND <br />DEC ZARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />N'HEREAS, Brad Friedel, one of the top 10 soccer goalkeepers in the world and a graduate of <br />Bay Village High School, desires to host a soccer camp at North Olmsted Barton-Bradley fields in the <br />Summer of 2004; and <br />WHEREAS, Friedel has agreed to donate field reconditioning services to the City of North <br />Olmsted, with an approximate value of $15,500, for the purpose of improving the condition of the <br />Barton-Bradley Soccer Fields prior to holding his summer soccer camp at Barton-Bradley; and <br />WHEREAS, the said Friedel donation is contingent upon the City installing a water line at <br />Barton-Bradley to provide immediate access to water for a field sprinkler system to be provided by the <br />North Olmsted Soccer Organization ("NOSO"); and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desire to accept the said donation of field reconditioning services <br />from Brad Friedel subject to the terms and conditions of the donation above-stated; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE Tl RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO. <br />SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted hereby accepts the donation of field <br />reconditioning services by Brad Friedel as described, and upon the terms and conditions set forth, in the <br />attached "Donation of Field Reconditioning Services" document, and further authorizes the Mayor and <br />the Director of Public Safety to take all steps necessary and appropriate to complete the donation of <br />these services to the City. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare, of this <br />City and for the further reason that this Ordinance is required to be immediately effective in order <br />that reconditioning of the fields at Barton-Bradley may be completed prior to the summer soccer <br />season; and #'urther provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of a11 members of <br />Council, it sha11 take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />
