CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 - 58 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT WITH THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY BOARD OF <br />HEALTH FOR MOSQUITO CONTROL AND LARYAL AERIAL <br />AI'PLICATIONS IN BRADLEY WOODS, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted, under O.R.C. §3709.08 is a member of <br />the General Health District of Cuyahoga County; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted <br />2004 for health services to be performed by <br />pursuant to Resolution No. 2003-147; and <br />has entered into a contract for the year <br />the Cuyahoga County Health District <br />WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga County Board of Health (CCBI-) has planned to <br />conduct a Mosquito Control Program via Larval Arial applications in Bradley Woods <br />Reservation and has proposed that and invited the City of North 4lmsted to join with four <br />(4) other governmental agencies to contract for and to share the costs of said aerial <br />applications; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted's share of said cost will be Nine <br />Thousand Five Hundred Ten and 80/100 ($9,510.80) Dollars; <br />WHEREAS, the Mosquito Control Program via aerial applications in the area of <br />Bradley Woods Reservation is of vital concern to the health, safety and welfare of the <br />citizens of North Olmsted and participation in this areawide program is the most cost <br />effective way to preserve said health, safety and welfare. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: The Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into a contract, <br />a copy of which is attached hereto and marked Exhibit "A," with the Cuyahoga County <br />General Health District to provide authorization for Mosquito Control for Larval Aerial <br />applications in Bradley Woods in 2004. <br />SECTION 2: That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Director <br />of Finance for authority to pay to the order of the Cuyahoga County Board of Health <br />(CCBH) in accordance with and upon documentation under the provisions hereof. <br />
