? w CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2004 - 62 BY; Mayor Musial A RESOLUTION APPROVING OF AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WITH THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ("AFSCME'), OHIO COUNCIL 8, LOCAL 3517 FOR THE EMPLOYEES OF THE NORTH OLMSTED MUNICIPAL BUS LINE ("NOMBL "), FOR THE PERIOD AUGUST 1, 2003 THRODGH JULY 31, 2006 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. N'HEREAS, the legislature of the State of Ohio has heretofore adopted legislation calling for collective bargaining agreements with public employees; and WHEREAS, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees ("AFSCME"), Ohio Council 8, Local 3517, has been recognized as the exclusive bargaining agent for the full-time bus operators, dispatcher/drivers, mechanics, hostlers, equipment servicers and material handlers of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line ("NOMBL"); and WHEREAS, the Administration has bargained with the members of said bargaining units and has concluded that bargaining with an agreement that is satisfactory to the Administration; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Councit to approve of and authorize the Mayor to enter into a collective bargaining agreement AFSCME, Ohio Council 8, Local 3517 on behalf of the said employees of NOMBL, for the period August l, 2003 through July 31, 2006; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the collective bazgaining agreement negotiated by and between the Administration and AFSCME, Ohio Council8, Loca13517, on behatf of the full-time bus operators, dispatcher/drivers, mechanics, hostlers, equipment servicers and material handlers of NOMBL, a copy of which is attached to this legislation as "Exhibit A," is approved and the Mayor is authorized to execute the said Agreement. SECTION 2: That the effective date of any and a11 wage and fringe benefits provided for in the said agreement, unless otherwise expressly specified therein, shall be August l, 2003.
