CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004 - 92 <br />BY: Council Member Dailey <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF TEN THOilSAND <br />FIVE HUNDRED SIXTY-FOUR DOLLARS ($10,564.00)) TO PM <br />GRAPHICS FOR PRINTING 20,000 COPIES OF THE 2004 RECREATION <br />BROCHURE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, in October 2003 the City contracted with PM Graphics to print 20,000 <br />copies of the 2004 Recreation Department brochure; <br />WHEREAS, at the time, sufficient funds had been appropriated by this Council and were <br />on hand to pay PM Graphics the sum of Ten Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-four pollars <br />($10,564.00); and <br />WHEREAS, through inadvertence, a purchase order certifying that funds had been <br />appropriated and were on hand to pay the contract, and authorizing payment of this contact, was <br />not timely requested from the Director of Finance; and <br />WHEREAS, PM Graphics has performed all of the services required of it in a good and <br />workmanlike manner; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to R.C. Section 5705.41(D), payment to PM Graphics pursuant to <br />the purchase order requested may not be made by the Director of Finance until authorized by this <br />Council; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Finance to pay to <br />PM Graphics, for printing 20,000 copies of the 2004 Recreation Department brochure the agreed <br />contract price of Ten Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-four pollars ($10,564.00); <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Finance be, and she hereby is, authorized to pay to <br />PM Graphics the sum of Ten Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-four pollars ($10,564.00) for the <br />printing of 20,000 copies of the 2004 Recreation Department brochure. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary to immediate pay this City contractor who performed valuable <br />services for the City, but, through no fault of its own, has not yet been paid, and further provided <br />it receives an affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be <br />in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />r....., ,1'.
