<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002 - 203 <br />BY: Mayor Musial. <br />A RESOLUTIONAUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO <br />A CONTRACT WITH UNITECH PARTS COMPANY FOR THE <br />PURPOSE OF PURCHASING A WIRING DIAGRAM FOR THE <br />ELEVATOR LOCATED AT THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary that the e2evator located at the Police Department be <br />inspected by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Industrial Compliance and, <br />if necessary, serviced to comply with all lawful requirements, including the maintenance <br />of an electrical wiring plan; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Director of Public <br />Service, upon the request of the Police Department, that the City enter into a contract <br />with the Unitech Parts Company to accomplish such compliance by providing the City <br />with a wiring diagram for the police department elevator to be kept in the elevator <br />maintenance room; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCII, OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a <br />contract with the Unitec Parts Company for the purpose of providing an electrical wiring <br />plan for the elevator located at the Police Department. The said contract shall be <br />substantially in the form of the agreement attached to this Resolution as Exhibit A, with <br />such changes in the agreement's language, terms and conditions as are recommended to <br />the Mayor by the Director of Law as either required by law or in the best interests of the <br />City. <br />SECTION 2: _That there a.re sufficient funds appropriated for Police Department <br />operations to authorize this contract expenditure in the amount of $425.00. <br />SECTIQN 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />for the further reason that it is necessary that this Ordinance go into effect immediately <br />because the Police Department elevator requires immediate service to comply with Ohio <br />law, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br />
