<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002 -195 <br />By: Mayor Norman Musial <br />A RESOLUTIONAUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR CRACKSEALING ON VARIODS <br />STREETS IN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AS PER <br />SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE IN HER OFFICE, AND A UTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAME AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the bid specifieations, as prepared by the Director of Public Service, <br />are on file with the City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into a <br />Contract for cracksealing on various streets in the City of North Olmsted. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and she is hereby authorized <br />to advertise for bids for cracksealing on various streets in the City of North Olmsted <br />according to plans and specifications now on file in her office and that the Mayor is <br />hereby authorized, upon approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a Contract and <br />execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately due to <br />the fact that the existing Contract expires December 31, 2002, and further provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
