<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 2002 - 192 <br />BY: MAYOR NORMAN MUSIAL <br />AN ORD/NANCE ESTABL/SH/NG A NEW AND REV/SED <br />CHAPTER 1321 OF THE COD/F/ED ORD/NANCES <br />ENT/TLED "PERM/T AND /NSPECT/ON FEES" AND <br />DECLAR/NG AN EMERGENCY, <br />WH£REAS, this Council believes that, from time to time, it is necessary to <br />review with the Building Commissioner the permit and inspection fees charged by <br />the City relating to the Building Department, as these some fees have remained the <br />same for as many as seven (7) years; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 1321 of the codified Ordinances entitled Permit and <br />lnspection Fees comprehensively addresses all such fees as follows: <br />1321.41 General Building Fees <br />1321.02 Plumbing and Sewer Contractor <br />Registration <br />1321.03 Heating, Ventilating air conditioning and <br />refrigeration licensing fees. <br />1321.04 Eiectrical license and fees <br />1321.05 Permit conditions and special fees. <br />WHEREAS, the licensing and inspection fees are designed to offset the <br />administrative costs associated with the provision of such services by the City and <br />it is Council's finding that the existing fees schedule is not generating sufficient <br />revenue to keep pace with the increasing costs of delivering such services; and. <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, the Director of Publie <br />Safety, and the Building Commissioner, it is the desire of this Council that it is <br />appropriate to increase the permit and inspection fees within the Building <br />Department, and to do so before 2003; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE I T ORDAI NED BY THE COUNCI L OF THE CI TY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF 4H14: <br />SECT/ON 1: That there is hereby created a new and revised Chapter 1321 of <br />the Codified Ordinances entitled "Permit and Inspection Fees," which new and <br />revised Chapter 1321 is attached hereto and made a part of hereof and marked <br />"Exhibit A". <br />SECT/ON2. That this ordinance hereby repeals the former Chapter 1321 as <br />
