CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2002-191 <br />BY: COUNCIL MEMBERS MCKAY, GAREAU, MILLER, KASLER, NASHAR <br />AN ORDINANCE CREATING A NEW AND REVISED CITY SALARY RANGE ORDINANCE IN ORDER TO: (1) <br />REMOVE THE SALARY RANGE FOR THE POSITION OF SECRETARY TO THE HOUSING COUNCIUTAX <br />INCENTIVE REVIEW COUNCIL; (2) INCREASE THE SALARY RANGE FOR THE POSITION OF ASSISTANT <br />FINANCE DIRECTOR; (3) ESTABLISH A NEW SALARY RANGE FOR THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE, <br />DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY AND DIRECTOR OF PERSONNEL AND ADMINISTRATNE SERVICES; AND <br />(4) OTHERWISE RE-E3TABLISH THE RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR VARIOUS ADMINISTRATIVE AND <br />LEGISLATIVE PERSONNEL AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, in separate legislation this Council has proposed to eliminate the position of Secretary to the <br />Housing Council/Tax incentive Review Council, and to transfer the duties of that position to the Assistant Director <br />of Finance position; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council further wishes to establish a new and revised salary range for the Director of Service, <br />Director of Public Safety and Director of Personnel and Administrative Services in order to balance the pay among <br />the said director positions consistent with tenure of such persons occupying the respective office, and further, to <br />bring parity to appointed director salaries <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly necessary to remove from the City's current salary range ordinance all reference to <br />the position of Secretary of housing Council/TIRC, and to increase the salary range for the position of Assistant <br />Director of Finance to reflect and compensate the position for the new duties added; and <br />WHEREAS, the only sections of the Salary Range ordinance which must be amended to effect these changes <br />are Sections 1 and 3; and <br />WHEREAS, other than the foregoing change referenced, it is the intent of this Council to re-adopt all of the <br />other substantive provisions of the latest adopted version of the City Salary Range ordinance, tawit: Ordinance- <br />110; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY <br />OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO. <br />SECTION 1: That the fotlowing salary ranges are hereby established for administrative and legislative <br />personnel of the City of North Olmsted.
