<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO 2002 - 180 <br />BY: Council Members Miller, McKay, Nashar, Kasler <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 171. 07 OF CHAPTER <br />171 OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, ENTITLED "SECRETARY TO HOUSING <br />COUNCII./TAX INCENTIVE REVIEW COUNCIL,"IN ORDER <br />TO PLACE THE POSITIDN UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE <br />DIRECTOR OF FINANCE, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council finds that, given the job responsibilities of the Secretary to <br />Housing CounciUTax Incentive Review Council, the position should be answerable to a <br />supervisor with expertise in finance; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council further finds that there should be a separation between the <br />Mayor's office and the Housing Council Secretary position to avoid any conflict; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council that the position of Housing <br />Council Secretary be placed within the Finance Department and under the supervision and control <br />of the Director of Finance; and <br />WHEREAS, this legislation contemplates, and is consistent with, the adoption of <br />Ordinance No. 2002-164, which is presently pending before this Council; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION ONE: That Section 171.07 of Chapter 171 of the Administrative Code, <br />entitled "Secretary to Housing CounciUTax Incentive Review Council," which presently reads as <br />follows: <br />"171.07 SECRETARY TO HOUSING COUNCIL/TAX INCENTIVE REVIEW <br />COUNCII.. <br />(A) There is hereby created the position of Secretary to the Housing Council and Tax <br />Incentive Review Council. <br />(B) The Mayor shall appoint and remove the Secretary. The position shall be part-time. <br />The salary of the Secretary shall be set by the Mayor within a salary range established by Council. <br />The Secretary sha11 be a salaried employee and therefore sha11 not be subject to the prohibitions <br />against multiple part-time city employment contained in Section 161.08 of the Administrative <br />Code or elsewhere within the Codified Ordinances of this city." <br />Be amended, and, as amended, sha11 read in its entirety as follows: <br />, . .. . ??, ,??,.??. •???? ?,..??? ??..?.???? .? vF?ss?
