CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2002-157 <br />BY: MAYOR MUSIAL <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH JEFF <br />MARSHALL TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO THE CITY AS THE ICE <br />SKATING CO-ORDINATOR AT THE NORTH OLMSTED <br />RECREATION CENTER, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AS <br />AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Administration to renew a contract with Jeff <br />Marshall, Inc., to provide services to the City as the Ice Skating Co-Ordinator at the North <br />Olmsted Recreation Center; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to renew said contract <br />with Jeff Marshall, Inc ; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the contract for Jeff Marshall, <br />Inc., retroactively, for the period July 1, 2002, through September 1, 2003; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUIVCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a contract with <br />Jeff Marshall for the period July 1, 2002, through September l, 2003, to provide services as <br />Director of Ice Skating at the Recreatian Center, in substantially the form and substance as <br />evidenced in the Contract attached to this Ordinance as "Exhibit A." <br />SECTION 2: That this Council finds that sufficient funds have been appropriated and set <br />aside this year to pay all monies due to Jeff Marshall, Inc., during this fiscal year under this <br />Contract and expressly authorizes the Director of Finance to make payment to Jeff Marshall, Inc. <br />pursuant to this Contract, retroactive to July 1, 2002. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this ordinance immediately go into effect upon adoption <br />because of the retroactivity of the start of the time period involved, and further provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be <br />in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />..?_r.. , _,.
