?..:.»? . . _,.. ,,. .. . ...,Aw. , :...: , .... ??. s», r a.?zcm?.'1rN..a.Ms'a?-???r.ys.: s.y... .. ,. : o-. .. . . .... .. . .. , . . .. <br />SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted urges the Ohio General Assembly <br />to study the well-documented traiic safety risks associated with elderly drivers on the <br />roads and highways of the State, and to adopt appropriate legislation, including changes <br />to the State's drivers license laws, which will protect such elderly drivers as well as other <br />drivers on the roads and highways of the State. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of this Council is hereby directed to forward a copy <br />of this Resolution, immediately upon its passage and approval, to Governor Taft, State <br />Senator Spada, and State Representative Kilbane. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare, and for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect <br />immediately so that the well-documented traffic safety risks associated with elderly <br />drivers be addressed by the State at the earliest opportunity before further deaths and <br />injuries occur on the State's roads and highways, and further provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />? <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST.- <br />iARBARA L.
