CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUT'I4N NO. 2002 -115 <br />BY: Mayor Norman Musial <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SELL, BY <br />A UCTION, A 1998 FO.RD CROWN VICTORIA, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCYAS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the City's Department of Public Service now possesses a 1998 Ford Crown <br />Victoria, which the Mayor has determined is a surplus vehicle; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor, acting pursuant to Section 955.02 of the Codified Ordinances, <br />has further determined that said vehicle has a fair ma.rket value in excess of $1,000.00; and <br />N'HEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, acting pursuant to Article IV, Section 13(d) <br />of the Charter and Section 955.02 of the Codified Ordinances to authorize the Mayor to sell said <br />vehicle at public auction for at least Three Fourths (3/4) of its fair market value. <br />NOW, THEREFOItE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, A1VD STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTI()N 1: That the Mayor is hereby authorized to dispose of the following surplus <br />personal property, to-wit: a 1998 Ford Crown Victoria, by selling it at public auction for at least <br />Three-Fourths (3/4) of its appraised fair market value. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measwe <br />immediately necessary for the preservatian of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately so that the value <br />of said vehicle is not further diminished to the financial detriment of the City, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two thirds of all members of Council, it sha11 take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
