Northeast Ohio Public Energy Council Draft Natural Gas Plan of Opera<«n and Governance <br />applicable laws and regulations (including Rule 4901:1-29-08 of the Ohio Administrative <br />Code). Problems regarding the selected Supplier(s) can be directed to NOPEC or the <br />PUCO. The Supplier sha11 provide customers with the PUCO's toll-free telephone <br />number and TDD/TYY telephone number. As noted below, NOPEC will conrinue to <br />rnonitor the selected Supplier(s) for compliance with customer protection provisions in <br />the Supply Contract and timely resolution of customer problems. <br />. <br />2.5.4.6 Periodic Reports on Consumer Complaints <br />NOPEC shall act to monitor and enforce customer protection provisions included <br />in the Supply Contract. At the request of NOPEC, the selected Supplier(s) sha11 provide a <br />periodic summary of the number and types of customer service issues and complaints that <br />arose to date, and the sta.tus of resolution of those issues and complaints. If such reports <br />indicate problems in the selected Supplier's service, NOPEC will pursue timely remedial <br />action, or consider the Supplier in breach of S.upply Contract terms. <br />2.6 Rights and Responsibilities of Program Participants <br />3.6.1 Rights <br />Altl Natural Gas Aggregation-Prograrn participant&shall enjoy the protections-of - °° <br />customer law as they currently exist or as they may be amended from time to time. Under <br />protocols developed by the PUCO, problems related to billing or service shall be directed <br />to the appropriate parties: _ the distribution ntilify.or the.:selected Supplier(s). <br />2:6.2 '-Responsibilities : _ . , .. . ? <br />All Natural Gas Aggregation Program participants shall meet all standards and <br />responsibilities required by the PUCO, including timely payment of billings and access to <br />essential metering and other equipment to carry out utility operations. <br />2.6.2.1 Taxes <br />The selected Supplier(s) shall include on the participating customer's bill and <br />remit to the appropriate authority all sales, gross receipts, or=excise or similar taxes <br />imposed with respect to the consumption of electricity. Participating customers shall be <br />responsible for a11 taxes (except for taxes on the Supplier's income). Participating <br />customers shall be responsible for idenrifying and requesting any applicable exemption <br />from the collection of any taac by providing appropriate documentation to the Supplier. <br />COL 281320.2 <br />76130/16064 <br />15 <br />?
