CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002 - 112 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLDTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SAFETY TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE AND <br />INSTALLATION OF NEW BLEACHERS FOR THE INDOOR POOL <br />AREA AT THE RECREATION COMPLEX PER SPECIFICATIONS <br />O1V FILE IN HIS OFFICE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAID PURCHASE AND <br />INSTALLATION SIIBJECT TO APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF <br />CONTROL, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, specifications for the purchase and installation of new bleachers for <br />the indoor pool area at the Recreation Complex have been prepared and are on file in the <br />Office of the Director of Public Safety; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public <br />Safety to advertise for bids for said purchase and installation of new bleachers for the <br />indoor pool area at the Recreation Complex consistent with the specifications on file, and <br />to authorize the Mayor, upon approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a contract <br />with the lowest and best bidder. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Safety be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for the purchase and installation of new bleachers for the indoor pool <br />area at the Recreation Complex in accordance with specifications now on file in his <br />office, and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby <br />authorized to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare and for the further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect <br />immediately to minimize the risk of injury to patrons at the Recreation Center, and <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor.
