CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002 -111 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SOLICIT BIDS <br />FOR THE PURCHASE OF CELL PHONES AND CELL PHONE <br />SERVICE PER SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE W HIS OFFICE, AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR <br />SAID PURCHASE SUBJECT TO APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF <br />CONTROL, IF NECESSARY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, specifications for the purchase of cell phones and cell phone service <br />have been prepared and are on file in the Mayor; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor- to advertise for <br />bids for said purchase of cell phones and cell phone service, and to authorize the Mayor, <br />upon approval of the Board of Control, if necessary, to enter into a contract with the <br />lowest and best bidder. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLYED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CiIYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids <br />for the purchase of cell phones and cell phone service in accordance with specifications <br />now on file in his office, and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, if <br />necessary, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute same on <br />behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and <br />for the further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately in <br />order to co-ordinate service with contract deadlines, and further provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediateiy upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
