<br />SECTION 16: That upon the approval of the Mayor or respective Director, ail full-time personnel listed within this <br />Ordinance, with the exception of those holding Elected or Director positions, Police Chief and Fire Chief listed in <br />this Ordinance will be paid time and one-half of their straight time rates of pay for hours worked in excess of eight <br />(8) hours in any one day; and time and one-half of their straight time rate of pay for hours worked in excess of forty <br />(40) hours in any one work week. Double time shall be paid to said employees for Sundays and Holidays provided <br />they have worked at least forty (40) hours in any one work week. <br />SECTION 17: That all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance having completed five (5) years of full-time <br />service as an employee of the city shall be paid an additional four percent (4%) of their base annual salary; <br />thereafter until completion of their tenth (10th) year of full-time service after which such employee shall receive five <br />percent (5%) of their base annual salary; thereafter until completion of their fifteenth (15th) year of full-time service, <br />such employee shall receive six percent (6%) of their base annual salary; until after the completion of the twentieth <br />(20th) year of full-time service, and during each year of full-time service thereafter, they shall receive seven percent <br />(7%) of their base annual salary as longevity increments. <br />SECTION 18: That all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance shall receive the following holidays off, unless <br />required to work by their supervisor or the Mayor in emergencies, and shall receive their regular rate of pay: New <br />Year's Day; Presidents' Day; one-half (1/2) day on Good Friday; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; <br />Thanksgiving Day; one-half (1/2) day on Christmas Eve; Christmas Day; one-half (1/2) day on New Year's Eve Day; <br />employee's birthday; and two floating holidays. These holidays are not eligible for buy back and if not taken after 12 <br />months they can no longer be used. <br />SECTION 19: That all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance shall be entitled to an annual vacation in <br />accordance with the Vacation Ordinance. All previous service as an elected city public official within the city shall <br />be considered full-time for the purpose of calculating vacation and sick leave upon retirement. <br />SECTlON 20: That all full-time personnel listed within this Ordinance shall receive three (3) eight (8) hour days off <br />with pay, or may elect to be paid for three (3) eight (8) hour days, for each six (6) continuous month period of <br />unused sick leave. No month shall be counted in more than one period. <br />SECTION 21: That the following full-time employees shall receive a$200 annual boot allowance payable the first <br />pay in July each year: Public Works Foremen; Fleet Manager; Animal Warden; Waste Water Treatment Plant <br />Superintendent; Waste Water Treatment Plant Assistant Superintendent; Environmental Engineer; Plant <br />Operations Foremen; Plant Maintenance Foremen; Pre-Treatment Coordinator; Sanitary Sewer System Supervisor; <br />Chemist; Assistant Chemist; Recreation Maintenance Foremen; and Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor. <br />SECTION 22: That all Ordinances or Resolutions or parts of Ordinances or Resolutions in conflict herewith are <br />hereby repealed with the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 23: That the salary range changes created by this Ordinance shall be retro-active to January 1, 2002. <br />SECTION 24: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the <br />preservation of the Public Health, Safety and Welfare and for the future reason it is immediately necessary to make <br />the corrections to Ordinance No. 2000-111, so that all city employees receive the amount of compensation to which <br />they are entitled, and further, provided it received the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />6 of 7 <br />
