<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002-02 <br />BY: MAYOR MUSIAL <br />A FINAL RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ESTIMATE BY THE <br />DIRECTOR OF THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br />(ODOT) OF THE CITY'S SHARE OF THE COST OF THE PAVEMENT <br />SURFACE TREATMENT IMPROVEMENT TO COL UMBIA ROAD <br />(STATE ROUTE 252) FR0M LORAIN ROAD TO THE NORTH <br />CORPORATION LINE, APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF <br />$29,564.00 FOR THE PROJECT, REQUESTING THAT THE DIRECTOR <br />OF ODOT PROCEED WITH THE IMPROVEMENT, AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTD ANAGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF <br />OHIO PROYIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF THE CITY'S SHARE OF <br />THE COST OF THE IMPROVEMENT. <br />WHEREAS, on2l a; a°r -? " '' the City of North Olmsted, as the Legislative <br />Authority/Local Public Agency ("LPA") enacted legislation proposing cooperation with <br />the Director of Transportation for the following described project: <br />This project proposes to apply an edge-to-edge of pavement surface treatment to <br />Columbia Road (State Route 252) consistent with ODOT urban paving policy, <br />from Larain Road (State Route 10) to the North Corparation Line, lying within <br />the City of North Olmsted. This work is part of a larger project involving the <br />City of Westlake. The total work length of the project being approximately 1.87 <br />miles; and <br />WHEREAS, the LPA shall cooperate with the Director of Transportation in the <br />above described project as follows: <br />The City agrees to assume and bear one hundred percent (100%) of the entire <br />cost of the improvement, less the amount of State funds set aside by the Director <br />of Transportation for the financing of this improvement, and further, the City <br />agrees to assume and bear the entire cost as well as construction curb ramps <br />within the resurfacing limits of the project at intersections with curbs or other <br />barrier to entry. The curb ramps shall be constructed prior to the resurfacing <br />project. <br />ODOT shall provide one hundred percent (100%) of the funding for the <br />preliminary engineering of the project.
