<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002 - 29 <br />By: Councilman Dean McKay <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE SOUTH CANTERBURY ROAD <br />RECONSTRUCTION IN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AS DETAILED IN <br />THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />CONTRACT FOR THE SAME, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of North Olmsted is desirous of South Canterbury Road <br />reconstruction in the City, and <br />WHEREAS, the necessary specifications, as prepared under the direction of the Engineering <br />Department of the City of North Olmsted axe on file, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into an agreement to <br />make said improvement. <br />NOW, T'HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY T'HE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OP NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for <br />the South Canterbury Road reconstruction in the city of North Olmsted as deta.iled in the specifica.tions <br />now on file in his office and that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized <br />to enter into a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary <br />for the preservation of the public heatth, safety and welfare, and farther it is necessary that this resolution <br />go into effect immediateiy in order that the timetable for reconstruction af South Canterbury Road not be <br />delayed, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of a11 members of Council, it <br />shall talce effect and be in force unmediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />Barbara L.
