CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2002-32 BY: MAYOR NORM MUSIAL AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING NEW AND REVISED CHAPTER 1305 OF THE CITY BUILDING CODE ENTITLED "ONE, TWO AND THREE FAMILY DWELLING CODE" FOR THE PURPOSE OF INCORPORATING AMENDMENTS TO INDIISTRY STANDARDS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. N'HERF,AS, this Council has previously adopted the provisions of the Ohio Building Officials Association (OBOA) One, Two and Three Family Code, 1996 edition, and incorporated same into Chapter 1305 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted; and WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Building Commissioner, with the concurrence of the Director of Law, this Council is hereby advised of and asked to adopt and incorporate the current amendments to the Ohio Residential Code for One, Two and Three Family Dwellings, 1999 edition; and WHEREAS, it is also the intent and desire of this Council, by this adoption of the Ohio Residential Code to authorize the North Olmsted Building Department to enforce uniform standards and safety requirements for the erection, construction, repair, alteration and maintenance of buildings within the City of North Olmsted; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTIONI: That there hereby be and is created a new and revised Chapter 1305 ofthe City Building Code, entitled "One, Two and Three-Family Dwelling Code," as adopted by the Ohio Residential Code for One, Two and Three-Family Dwellings, 1999 edition, based on the International One and Two Family Dwelling Code, 1998 edition, which new and revised Chapter 1305 is attached hereto and made a part hereof. SECTION 2: That any Ordinance, or part of Ordinance, which is inconsistent or in conflict with this Ordinance, be, to the extent of any such inconsistency or conflict, repealed.
