<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2002-32 <br />BY: MAYOR NORM MUSIAL <br />AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING NEW AND REVISED CHAPTER <br />1305 OF THE CITY BUILDING CODE ENTITLED "ONE, TWO <br />AND THREE FAMILY DWELLING CODE" FOR THE <br />PURPOSE OF INCORPORATING AMENDMENTS TO <br />INDIISTRY STANDARDS, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />N'HERF,AS, this Council has previously adopted the provisions of the Ohio Building Officials <br />Association (OBOA) One, Two and Three Family Code, 1996 edition, and incorporated same into <br />Chapter 1305 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Building Commissioner, with the concurrence <br />of the Director of Law, this Council is hereby advised of and asked to adopt and incorporate the <br />current amendments to the Ohio Residential Code for One, Two and Three Family Dwellings, 1999 <br />edition; and <br />WHEREAS, it is also the intent and desire of this Council, by this adoption of the Ohio <br />Residential Code to authorize the North Olmsted Building Department to enforce uniform standards <br />and safety requirements for the erection, construction, repair, alteration and maintenance of buildings <br />within the City of North Olmsted; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTIONI: That there hereby be and is created a new and revised Chapter 1305 ofthe City <br />Building Code, entitled "One, Two and Three-Family Dwelling Code," as adopted by the Ohio <br />Residential Code for One, Two and Three-Family Dwellings, 1999 edition, based on the International <br />One and Two Family Dwelling Code, 1998 edition, which new and revised Chapter 1305 is attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof. <br />SECTION 2: That any Ordinance, or part of Ordinance, which is inconsistent or in <br />conflict with this Ordinance, be, to the extent of any such inconsistency or conflict, repealed.
