APPENDIX B PUMP STATIONS INFLUENT CONTROL GATES PROJECT Scope of Services A. Intent of the Design Professional Services: The City has prepared this RFP with the intention of retaining the services of a design professional firm to: 1. Prepare one set of updated Dover Pump Station drawings based on the 1965 record drawings and that includes the Work shown in the 1995 Emergency Generator Set Project drawings and the 1998 Wet Well Enclosure Project drawings; 2. Prepare one set of updated Lebern Pump Station drawings based on the 1961 record drawings and that includes the Work shown in the 1978 Emergency Generator Set Project drawings, the 1991 Discharge Piping Improvements Project drawings and the 1999 Electrical Distribution Improvements schematics; 3. Design of a manually operated, downward closing gate to be mounted over the 21-inch diameter influent sewer in the Dover Pump Station wet well as well as the gate stem, stem guides, ma.nual operator and manual operator support beams; and 4. Design of a manually operated, downward closing gate to be mounted over the 18-inch diameter influent sewer in the Lebern Pump Station wet well as well as the gate stem, stem guides, manual operator and ma.nual operator support beams. B. Basic Scope of the Design Professional Services: In providing the Scope of Services, the design professional firm will place special emphasis on: 1. Demonstrated ability to convert existing record drawings to electronic drawings using a version of AutoCADO compatible with the Version 12 software owned by the City; 2. Demonstrated ability to modify existing sanitary sewers and wet well structures - in order to allow for the mounting of downward closing gates; and 3. Demonstrated ability to meet project schedules. C. Specific Scope of the Design Phase Services: Tn providing the Scope of Services, the design prafessional fum shall include the following specific duties: 1. Prepare a set of updated Dover Pump Station drawings.
