<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002-7 <br />BY: MAYOR MUSIAL and COUNCIL MEMBERS LIMPERT, DAILEY, NASHAR, <br />GAREAU, KASLER, MILLER <br />A RESOLUTION URGING THE PASSAGE OF THE LEVY <br />BALLOT I5SUE FOR THE NORTH OLMSTED SCHOOLS, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WhfEREAS, our schools are a reflection of the City in which they function; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed 7.9 mill operating levy will provide operating funds which <br />would allow the district to operate into at least the year 2004-2005; and <br />WHEREAS, the difficulties in connection with funding for our public schools today <br />impact the City as a whole; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the City of North Olmsted recognize the <br />importance of working together to continue the education and quality of life of our youth. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUIVTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor and Council of North Olmsted urge the gassage of <br />Issue 3, a 7.9 mill operating levy on Election Day, February 5, 2002. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to forward a <br />certified copy of this resolution to Donald Frazier, President of the North Olmsted Board of <br />Education. <br />SECTION 3: That this Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were taken in an open meeting <br />of this Council; and that a11 deliberations of this Council, and of any committees, that resulted in <br />those formal actions were in meetings open to the public in compliance with law. <br />
