CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2002 - 74 <br />BY: MAYOR NORMAN MUSIAL <br />AN 4RDINANCE ALLOWING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE TO SELL, BY AUCTION, A 1979 LT 8000 FORD <br />TRUCK, A 1977 WHITE ROAD EXPIDITOR TRUCK AND A <br />1986 CORVE7TE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City's Department of Public Service now possesses Three (3) vehicles, <br />to-wit: a 1979 LT 8000 Ford Truck, a 1977 White Road Expiditor Truck and a 1986 Corvette, <br />which the Director of Public Service has determined are surplus vehicles; and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service, acting pursuant to Section 955.02 of the <br />Codified Ordinances, has further determined that each vehicle has a fair market value in excess <br />of $1,000.00; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, acting pursuant to Article N, Section 13(d) <br />of the Charter and Section 955.02 of the Codified Ordinances to authorize the Director of Public <br />Service to sell each of said vehicles at public auction for at least Three Fourths (3/4) of its fair <br />market value. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to dispose of the <br />following surplus personal property, to-wit: a 1979 LT 8000 Ford Truck, a 1977 White Road <br />Expiditor Truck and a 1986 Corvette, by selling each at public auction for at least Three-Fourths <br />(3!4) of its appraised fair market value. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this legislation go into effect immediately so that the value <br />of said vehicles is not further diminished to the financial detriment of the City, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of twd-thirds of all members of Council, it sha11 take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />?
