<br />E. Personal and other services which are necessary and incidental to <br />the usual operation of any main use set forth above; and <br />F. Drive-in banking facilities." <br />be and the same is hereby amended, and, as amended, sha11 read as follows: <br />1139.02 MOTORIST SERVICE DISTRICT. <br />(a) Intent. Motorist Service Districts and their regulations are established in order to <br />achieve, among others, the following purposes. <br />(1) To provide convenient districts for motorist services in order to serve and <br /> promote economic development of the community; <br />(2) To provide Motorist Service Districts in convenient areas directly related <br /> to the freeway interchanges to serve the needs of through and local <br /> motorists. <br />(3) To protect and stabilize developments from traffic congestion by <br /> regulating the intensity of use, by requiring offstreet parking, loading <br /> and onsite circulation facilities, and by regulating the access to streets; <br />(4) To protect nearby residential neighborhoods by restricting the types of <br /> nearby uses, particularly at their common boundaries, which would <br /> create objectionable influences; and <br />(5) To promote the most desirable and beneficial use of the land in the <br /> interchange areas. <br />(b) Permitted Uses. Buildings and land in a Motorist Service District shall be used, and <br />buildings designed, created, altered or intended only for the uses specifically designated below as <br />motorist service uses: <br />(1) Main uses. <br />A. Automotive facilities for the sale of gasoline, fuel and oils, auto <br />accessories and automobile maintenance work, including lubrication and <br />washing, and minor repairs within enclosed buildings, provided no <br />alcoholic beverages are dispensed or sold on the same lot; <br />B. Lodging facilities such as motels, and extended stay facilities; <br />C. Food and beverages offered in restaurants and eating places where <br />food is consumed in an enclosed building; <br />D. Car, truck and trailer sales and rental agencies; and <br />E. Bus passenger station, repair and storage garages within enclosed <br />(2) Accessory uses. <br />
