CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002 - 84 <br />BY: Mayor Musial <br />A RESOLUTION AiITHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SAFETY TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR THE RENTAL OF GOLF CARTS <br />AND OTHER VEHICLES FOR SPRINGirALE, AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAID VEHICLE <br />RENTALS, SUBJECT TO APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF <br />COIVTROL, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, specifications for the rental of 75 golf carts, 3 utility carts and 1 <br />utility/beverage cart for Springvale Golf Course have been prepared and are on file in the <br />Office of the Director of Public Safety; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public <br />Safety to advertise for bids for the rental of said vehicles for use at Springvale, and to <br />authorize the Mayor, upon approval of the Board of Control, to enter into a Contract with <br />the lowest and best bidder, in accordance with Article VIII, Section 6 of the Charter. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL UF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Safety be and she is hereby authorized <br />to advertise for bids for the rental of 75 golf carts, 3 utility carts and 1 utility/beverage <br />cart for Springvale Golf Course in accordance with specifications now on file in her <br />office, and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby <br />authorized to enter into a Contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION Z: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately so that <br />said vehicle rentals are available for the start of the golf season at Springvale, and further <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.. <br />
