w <br />Ordinance No. 2002-86 <br />Page 2 <br />(a) Any person owning, keeping or harboring any dog, cat, or erret ever--the <br />age ef si? four months of age or older shall be required to have such animal currently <br />immunized against rabies by a licensed veterinarian, in accordance with the regulations <br />of the Cuyahoga County Board af Health. <br />(b) All owners or keepers as described in subsection (a) hereof shall maintain <br />a record of such immunization as provided by a veterinarian. They shall provide said <br />proof of immunization to any person so inquiring. <br />(c) Whoever violates subsection (a) hereof is guilty of a misdemeanor of the <br />fourth degree. Whoever violates subsection (b) hereof is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. <br />Punishment shall be as provided in Section 501.99." <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and <br />for the further reason that it is necessary that this Ordinance immediately go into effect in <br />light of the spring season for animals, and further provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of the members af this Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: o c ? <br />First Reading: ? 0 ' <br />Second Reading: 1.2 0 b 3 <br />Third Reading:?, .u ? <br />Committee: ) -???,??Q?.?, ..c.? <br />ATTEST.• `BARBARA L.
