CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008 - 163 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SER VICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF A MAXIMUM OF <br />35, 000 GALLONS OF SODIUM AL UMINATE FOR A TWEL VE-MONTH <br />PERIOD, FOR USE BY THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT FOR <br />PHOSPHATE REMOVAL, AND A UTHORIZING THE MA YOR TO <br />CONTRACT FOR SAME, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary to competitively bid for the purchase of sodium aluminate for <br />the removal of phosphate at the Wastewater Treatment Plant; <br />NO W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED B Y THE CO UNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for a maximum of 35,000 gallons of sodium aluminate for a twelve-month <br />period, for use by the Wastewater Treatment Plant, in accordance with specifications now on file <br />in his office and that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to <br />enter into a Contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and far the <br />further reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effective immediately because the <br />current contract expires February 23, 2009; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote <br />of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: r.U.<?-??.v <br />ATT,?ST.• _ <br />BARBARA L.
