CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. 2008 - 149 By: Mayor O'Grady AN ORDINANCE REVISING THE ORGANIZATIONAL CHART OF THE DIVISION OF PARKS AND RECREATION BY ABOLISHING THE POSITION OF MAINTENANCE FOREMAN IN ORDER TO DELIVER SERVICES IN A MORE EFFICIENT AND ECONOMICAL MANNER, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AS AMENDED. WHEREAS, a review and study of the operations of the Division of Parks and Recreation of the City of North Olmsted has been conducted by the City Administration; and WHEREAS, as a result of such review and study, the City Administration has formulated a plan to reorganize the division in order to deliver services in a more efficient and economical manner; and WHEREAS, the plan formulated by the City Administration includes abolishing the non- bargaining unit position of Maintenance Foreman in the Division of Parks and Recreation; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, acting upon the recommendation of the City Administration, to abolish the position of Maintenance Foreman in the Division of Parks and Recreation in order to promote greater efficiency in division operations as well as the expenditure of tax dollars; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION l: That the Organizational Chart for the Parks and Recreation Division is hereby revised by abolishing the position of Maintenance Foreman, effective Januar,y 1, 2009. SECTION 3: That all other positions in the Organizational Chart for the Division of Parks and Recreation, with the exception of the Maintenance Foreman, are hereby reaffirmed. SECTION 4: That all Ordinances or resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions that are in conflict or inconsistent with this Ordinance are, to the extent of such conflict or inconsistency, hereby repealed. ,., . ..?-; ,. ,. . . _, . , ?p,?u . ... ... _ ;
