CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008 - 136 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MA YOR, ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE <br />WEST LIFE PUBLISHING CO. FOR THE PURPOSE OF PUBLISHING A <br />NORTH OLMSTED MAGAZINE FOR THE 2009 CALENDAR YEAR. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has requested authorization from this Council to enter into a <br />contract with the West Life Publishing Company that would provide for the latter to publish a <br />North Olmsted Magazine for the 2009 calendar year at no cost to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, on the recommendation of the Mayor, to <br />authorize him, on behalf of the City, to enter into the said contract with the West Life; <br />NO W THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL YED B Y THE CO UNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with <br />the West Life Publishing Co. for the purpose of publishing a North Olmsted magazine for the <br />2009 calendar year. The contract shall be substantially in the form of the one-page contract <br />attached to this Resolution and marked as "Bxhibit A." <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately so that the West Life <br />may have sufficient time to solicit advertising revenues for the cost of the publication, and <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ????? e?_-C",-- <br />ATTE T.? <br />fARBARA L.
