<br />c) Other projects as they arise; <br />3. Assist with the procurement of consultants to perform engineering studies and <br />design work as required; <br />4. Assist with preparation of grant app(ications and grant administration for Ohio <br />Public Works projects for pavinD, sewer, wastewater treatment plant and other <br />miscellaneous projects; <br />5. Prepare reports to the Mayor and Service Director regarding sewer back-up <br />during flood events; <br />6. Prepare ordinances and easements pertaining to public improvement projects; <br />7. Over see the approve contractor invoices; <br />8. Review construction plans and specifications for city projects submitted to the <br />Division of Engineering with respect to construction standards and methods. <br />Nerify compliance with city standards and codes; <br />9. Assist in the preparation of the annual bridge inspection reports; <br />10. Review inspection records and reports; <br />11. Assist inspectors with field inspections when engineering expertise is needed; <br />12. Work with the Assistant City Engineer on staff. Assist the Assistant City <br />Engineer on staff if needed. <br />C. The City Engineer will augment and work with the City's Division of <br />Engineeiā¢ing: Currently the Division of Engineering employs an Assistant City <br />Engineer, inspectors and secretary(s). It is the city's intent to retain the services of a <br />City Engineer to work with the Division of Engineering's staff. The staff's roles <br />and responsibilities are as follows: <br />l. The Assistant City Engineer on staffwill remain responsible for the followinQ: <br />review the plans for commercial projects, new subdivisions and new houses; <br />review lot split and consolidation plats; advising the Planning Director and <br />Planning Commission as to the acceptability of the plans for commercial <br />pro}ects, new subdivisions and lot split and consolidation plats; meeting with <br />the Planning Director for pre-Planning Commission meetings; preparing <br />ordinances and easements pertaining to commercial projects; calculate permit <br />fees for all major construction projects, new subdivisions and new houses; <br />review building, departinent applications to determine the need for sanitary <br />sewer tap-in fee payments, grading permits, sewer permits, or other required <br />Division of Engineering permits; prepare, implement and coordinate the City's <br />EPA Phase II Storm Water Management Plan; review the .monthly operating <br />reports prepared by the Wastewater Treatment Plant; prepare citation letters for <br />persons violatinb various ordinances pertaining to construction, public <br />improvements or private srading and drainage; respond to inquiries regarding <br />traffic-related items or complaints; monitor performance of the City's Closed <br />Loop Traffic Control Computer System; coordinate the activities of the Traffic <br />2 <br />?? .
