CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008 -114 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH <br />THE BOARD OF CUYAHOGA COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO RECEIVE <br />FUNDS FROM THE FY2007 STATE HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT <br />PROGRAM ALLOTTED FOR CITIZEN EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM <br />(CERT) EQUIPMENT AND TRAINING EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor, on behalf of the City of North Olmsted, has requested <br />authorization from this Council to enter into an agreement with the Board of Cuyahoga County <br />Commissioners to receive funds from the FY2007 State Homeland Security Grant Program <br />allotted for Citizen Emergency Response Team (CERT) equipment and training expense <br />reimbursement; and <br />WHEREAS, the County will reimburse the City One Hundred (100%) percent far all <br />approved eligible expenses up to One Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($1,700.00). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council does hereby authorize the Mayor, on behalf of the ::ity <br />of North Olmsted, to enter into an agreement with the Board of Cuyahoga County <br />Commissioners to receive funds from the FY2007 State Homeland Security Grant Program <br />allotted for Citizen Emergency Response Team (CERT) equipment and training expense <br />reimbursement. The County will reimburse the City One Hundred (100%) percent for all <br />approved eligible expenses up to One Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($1,700.00), and the <br />City is not required to provide matching dollars. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately due to <br />the fact that the grant application deadline is November l, 2008; and further provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
