Ordinance No. 2008-105 <br />The Employment Specialist shall have either a four-year degree from an <br />accredited college or university, with major course work in human <br />resources management, public administration or a related field, or shall <br />have equivalent employment experience in the human resources field <br />consisting of either a minimum of five years personnel experience or a <br />minimum of three years government agency personnel experience. She <br />shall provide such other administrative services and perform such other <br />duties consistent with her position as may be required by the Director." <br />BE AMENDED, AND AS AMENDED SHALL READ AS FOLLOWS: <br />"167.021 DEPARTMENT STAFF. <br />(a) There shall be, within the Department of Human Resources, twe three <br />full-time positions entitled, respectively, "Secretary" and "Employment <br />Specialist," each appointed by and serving at the pleasure and under the <br />supervision of the Director of Human Resources. <br />(b) There shall be one Secretarv position. The Secretary shall be <br />secretary to the Director, and shall provide clerical and secretarial services <br />to the Director. Her duties shall also include providing secretarial services <br />to the Civil Service Commission, if, with the consent of the Director, the <br />Civil Service Commission appoints her to serve as Secretary to the Civil <br />Service Commission. She shall also provide such other services and <br />perform such other duties consistent with her position as may be required <br />by the Director. <br />(c) There shall be two Emplovment Specialist positions. The <br />Employment Specialist shall provide professional assistance to the <br />Director in administering the following Department programs: risk <br />management, employee health care and benefits, workers compensation, <br />drug and alcohol testing and Family and Medical Leave Act ("FMLA"). <br />The Employment Specialist shall have either a four-year degree from an <br />accredited college or university, with major course work in human <br />resources management, public administration or a related field, or shall <br />have equivalent employment experience in the human resources field <br />consisting of either a minimum of five (5) years personnel experience or a <br />minimum of three (3) years government agency personnel experience. <br />She shall provide such other administrative services and perform such <br />other duties consistent with her position as may be required by the <br />Director." <br />2
