Page Two: Continued
2008 PROPOSAL
This purchase order will cover loosening the existing soil in the infield, adding equal amounts of
soil conditioner across the surface of the dirt infield per 1,000 square feet, move soils using
material handlers and top dressers, divert standing water by filling low spots, and correct
elevation errors using a dual slope laser and a 6' laser grader box. The entire project will be
utilizing a 15-25 yards of soil conditioner to 75-100 yards of a top soil blend mix for this project.
I have already spoken to Mr. Chris Wetmore, Programs Supervisor, for the North Olmsted
Recreation Department and he has agreed to avoid scheduling anything on this field until the
work is complete hopefully by April 15, 2008 whichever comes first.
Although the city has done a good job in preparing our fields and cutting the grass, we feel it is
necessary to retain a professional company specializing in this type of reconstruction, with the
necessary equipment required to repair diamond #1 and diamond #Z at North Olmsted Little
Claque Park.
In no way is this to be construed as a put down to any of the services set forth by the Recreation
Complex nor should it be viewed as a labor issue. This is simply a case where an outside
company with the proper equipment can create a top-notch field for all groups to play on and
renovate in the most economical fashion possible. This renovation will not cost the city anything
yet the Travel programs, Hot Stove In-house Program, and a few qualifying outside baseball
leagues can all use and benefit from this upgrade.
We ask that this donation be accepted and approved by the recreation department for the
presentation and approval of council at the earliest opportunity. That way we can arrange for the
work to be completed on time for the upcoming season. In return for this donation it is
understood that all field and prep fees for the 2008 season will be eliminated as agreed to
historicallyo
Once again, I would like to thank you and your staff for their support and understanding in this
project. If there are any questions or if you need further information, please don't hesitate to
contact me, Mr. Ronald J. Tallon Jr., League Chairman at (216) 406-7778 (cell) or (440) 979-
1717 (home) and/or Bob Finch., President, North Olmsted Hot Stove Baseball League Ph: 440-
979-1222 (home) 216-533-0700 (cell) at any time.
Thank you for your cooperation in this regard,
Yours truly,
?41 - - I
Mr. Bob Finch
President
Mr. Ronald J.
