<br />,? . <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008 - 78 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PLANNING TO <br />PROCEED WITH NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE SALE OF CITY-OWNED <br />REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON BUTTERNUT RIDGE ROAD, <br />IDENTIFIED AS PERMANENT PARCEL NUMBER 236-19-005 AND <br />CONSISTING OF A VACANT LOT ZONED FOR RESIDENTIAL USE; <br />FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT <br />TO SELL THE REAL PROPERTY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the City owns one parcel of vacant residential property on Butternut Ridge <br />Road, consisting of approximately 12,000 (60 feet x 200 feet) square feet, which is identified as <br />Permanent Parcel Number 236-19-005, and which is no longer needed for any municipal <br />purpose; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is expending resources to own and maintain the property, and the <br />Mayor and Director of Planning accordingly recommend that it be sold; and <br />WHEREAS, the property does abuts residential property in the City and is therefore <br />subject to the residential notice provisions of Section 959.01 of the North Olmsted Codified <br />Ordinances; and <br />WHEREAS, the Clerk of Council has provided timely notice, in accordance with the <br />provisions of said Section 959.01 of the Codified Ordinances, to all abutting property owners; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of <br />Planning to proceed with negotiations for the sale of this real property, and to further authorize <br />the Mayor to enter into a contract for the sale of the real property at a price that is no less than <br />three-quarters of the appraised value of the property; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION L• That this Council finds that the real property owned by the City, located on <br />Butternut Ridge Road, identified as Permanent Parcel Number 236-19-005, and consisting of an <br />approximately 12,000 (60 feet x 200 feet) square foot vacant lot zoned for single family <br />residential use, is surplus real property for which the City has no municipal use.
