Ordinance No. 2008 -85 179.04 SECRETARY TO DIRECTOR OF PLANNING. There is hereby created the full-time position of Secretary to the Director of Planning, which shall be appointed by and be answerable to the Director of Planning. The Secretary to the Director of Planning shall have the qualifications of a Secretary I, and shall perform the duties of a Secretary I as required and directed by the Director of' Planning. In addition, when the Secretarv position in the Office of the Mavor is SECTION 2: That all ordinances or resolutions, or parts of ordinances or resolutions, that are inconsistent or in conflict with newly amended Section 179.04 of Chapter 179 (Department of Planning) of the City Administrative Code are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency or conflict only. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further for the reason that it is necessary that this Ordinance go into effect immediately because the MayQr has already taken preliminary steps to make personnel changes consistent with this legislation and delay under these circumstances would have a deleterious effect on personnel morale and thus upon vital government services to the public; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. i ?
