Ordinance No. 2008-94 <br />Prosecutor that is proportionate to the number of STOP cases prosecuted in Rocky <br />River Municipal Court, and for police equipment used in the STOP program." <br />BE AMENDED, AND, AS AMENDED, SHALL READ IN ITS ENTIRETY AS FOLLOVVS: <br />"Section 2: That there is hereby established a separate Special Revenue Fund for <br />the Safe Traffic Oriented Policing ("STOP") program. The Director of Finance is <br />hereby directed to receive and pay into said separate fund all fines and costs <br />received by the City from Rocky River Municipal Court as a result of the <br />disposition of traffic citations issued by police officers while on STOP duty. Said <br />funds so received into the separate fund may be expended only for payment of <br />compensation to police officers for STOP duty, compensation to the City <br />Prosecutor that is proportionate to the number of STOP cases prosecuted in Rocky <br />River Municipal Court, and for police equipment used in the STOP programi <br />provided, however, that when in anv 2iven vear surplus monies as <br />determined bv the Director of Finance to exist in the Fund over and above <br />those that are required to pav compensation to police officers and the Citv <br />Prosecutor as above described and to meet the existing annual debt service, if <br />anv, for prior purchases of police equipment, then anv other expenditure out <br />of the Fund that meets anv other need of the Police division, including <br />Emerrencv Dispatch, with the eacception of wages and benefits unrelated to <br />STOP, its disigateh-st-a€€ ? is authorized each vear <br />from such surulus monies." <br />SECTION 2: That all ordinances, or parts of ordinances, inconsistent or in conflict 4,tiith <br />this Ordinance, are, to the extent of such inconsistency or conflict, repealed. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period llowed by law. <br />1 <br />PASSED: First Reading.• 611 h p <br />?
